A road less travelled in New England

A lake view

Autumn in New England...

Covered bridge in New Hampshire. We stumbled across this accident. We got lost and took a wrong turn, and found this lovely bridge. Serendipity!

Just a lovely Autumn picture.

The pavilion that houses Plymouth Rock. The rock itself truly is not much to see. It lies at the bottom of this pavilion and is still exposed to the effects of the surf, so there's not much left of it. But at least I can now say that I've seen Plymouth Rock.

I was told this was Edna St. Vincent Millay's house. Austerlitz, New York. Up a long dirt road, but worth the view...

Church

Lighthouse

I laid down on the rocks at the bottom of this lighthouse to take this photo. All around me were lots of photography students taking pretty much the same shot, except not on their bellies!

Claudia...my best friend, and a great vacation buddy!

Me, at Old Sturbridge Village, 1998. I am just so adorable! Oh, and did I mention modest?

Same fork, different view...

A fork in the river...

Autumn in New Hampshire....doesn't get much prettier than this.

A harbor picture... Camden??? I'll have to check my notes...

A lonely beach by a lighthouse...

The hotel. We were there towards the end of the season so practically had the place to ourselves. It was wonderful!

Taken from the boat on the way to Monhegan Island
